Hi,

I have 1996 Honda civic factory fitted car radio in my Car and I would like to hook it up to my Mp3 Car via RCA cables. But when I pulled out my radio from the dash I could not find any sockets that say line in/out or anything like that. The car radio has a capability to play CDs and tapes. I would like to know how I can hook up RCA cables to it. Thank you.

Vamsi,
To hook up your MP3 to your stereo, the easy way to do it will be to use an FM modulator unit. With this modulator unit you can simply connect it to the antenna wire on your stereo per the instructions and then connect it to your audio output on your MP3 unit. When you turn on your MP3 player all you have to do is tune your FM radio to the channel/freq that it instructs you to tune to.

Hi Tom,

I have tried to use a digital belkin FM transmitter. The quality of sound is not very good. The MP3 player has a docking station to which I can connect RCA cables and thats why I wanted to know how to connect Line in cables to my car radio unit. The car radio unit has an 8 pin plug with FA011555 number. Can I use this plug to connect the RCA cables?

Answer
Vasmi,
Please give me the complete model number of your stereo off the sticker on it. With the model I can look up the service info and tell you if the 8pin connector can be used to input sound from your MP3
