Audio Systems: 300m amplifier, ppi amp, 2004 chrysler 300m

Question
I have a 2004 chrysler 300m with a seven speaker system and factory amp.  I would like to install my 2600 ppi amp to power a sub I have.  My amp can handle speaker level inputs so I planned on patching in using one of the seven speakers but they are in the doors and dash.  So I would like to patch in right at the factory amp in the trunk.  Do I still have to run a 12v line directly from the battery or is there another power source already present at the factory amp?  Do you know of any web sites that may have detailed information and photos?

Answer
Ken,
With a vehicle this new, if you connect anything to the factory stereo system you will void any warranty that the sound system has. If you are not concerned about warranty coverage you can connect the new amp to the existing factory amp inputs using a special adapter. The 12 supply for the new power sub amp will need to come from the battery direct due to the power requirements for your power amp.
