Audio Systems: About a Five year old TV. But its nice or would be!, advanced tv, cheeper

The monitor started flashing off untill we would hit it and then finally went blank and has never came back. I was wondering if you know of any way to maybe get it back cheap or what's going on. It's a pretty advanced tv for being that old it has all kinds of hookups even for things I don't know what to do with so it would be nice if I could find a solution cheeper than just buying another one to replace it.

If you had to bang on it, then something was loose and got banged back into place until it finally disengaged. Take your set to a fixit guy and tell him what you told me. My guess is that it's a cheap fix--simply reconnecting a disconnected wire. If it's something more expensive than that, then he'll tell you what the repair costs are going to be, so you'll be able to make an informed decision whether you want to get the old one fixed or purchase a new one.
