Audio Systems: car stereo sound, pioneer car cd player, car cd player

Question
I installed a Super Tuner III D Pioneer car cd player a few months ago.  It worked fine with my old speakers.  A week ago I installed the Pioneer speakers that came with the stereo.  Now I have lost most sound.  1st thing in the am it plays CD or radio for 5 minutes, then cuts off.  I can hear static in the speakers, but no music.  Sometimes a bump in the road will give a little blare out the speaker.  I have double checked my speaker wiring.  This stereo sits in my '84 RX-7.

Answer
Jennie,
When you mentioned that if you hit a bump, the sound would blare. This tells me that a defective connection of some kind exist. If the stereo plays when cool but not after it warms up, it suggests that a problem with the audio output may be the fault. Double check the wiring to the speakers and be sure that no speaker wires are crossed or grounded to the vehicle chassis.
