Audio Systems: pa.systems, peavey pa, google

Hi,I don't know if you can help. I play keyboards in a trio with male/female vocals.We only have very basic equipment and wan't to upgrade our gear to a proper pa system. We have around £650. What would be the best gear for us.We are all not very technically minded.Thanks for your help.

Dear Mike,

Sorry, but live performance equipment is not my area of expertise. However, when I was performing live, I preferred either TOA or Peavey PA systems. Both have relatively inexpensive lines which, if you lay off the reverb, perform very well in small to mid-size venues.

I'm not sure what's available in the UK (tho' TOA is a German company, while Peavey is American), but you might want to Google around for a deal.
