Audio Systems: 93 Honda accord Car Radio, honda accord car, vin number

Question
Hello,
I have a 2 Door 93 Honda Accord.  We recently put in a new battery.  And now when I turn on the car, the radio says CODE and will not play any music or tapes.  We don't have the owners manual to the car because it was passed down from one person in our family to the next, and it must have gotten lost somewhere.  Can you help?

Answer
Megan,

ok what has happend is your stereo has a theftloc feature very common , if you had your owners manual you could have fixed it in 5 minutes .. but no need to fear go to Honda.com and to their motor vehicle website there you should be able to either email their customer service or call *its better to call* the number is toll free, tell them your make and model, type of stereo ect.. and that you need to know how to reactivate the unit .. now this will go smoothly as long as no one has changed the standard code which should be something like 123, if its been changed the same person can still help you but you have to have some proof of ownership and VIN number and some other documents .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
