Audio Systems: Honda Civic factory cassette player, motor circuits, honda civic ex

Question
I just bought a 2000 Honda Civic EX.  The CD player works, but the cassette player doesnt.  Well, the problem is that the cassette doesnt go all the way into the slot at all.  When I try to push the cassette, it says "Play Tape" on the LCD.  But the cassette doesnt go all the way in.  There doesnt seem to be anything blocking it.  The last owner tells me that he has not used the tape player in a long time.

What could the problem be?  Where should I go to get it fixed?  how much would it cost to fix/replace the cassette player?

Thanks

Answer
Tintin,
The most likely problem with the tape player could be that the loading assembly is out of alignment. The cassette may also be going in as far as the mechanics will allow it before the load motor should take it the rest of the way in. The load motor circuits may be at fault. Please contact me direct for complete details on having your tape deck repaired.
