Audio Systems: aftermarket radio stop working?, audio amp, radio stop

I own an aiwa carstereo for about a year now. my question is everything with my radio works but the problem is there is no sound coming from the speakers in the car.when I hit seek on the radio it finds the recetion on radio channels but doesnt play any sound. I was wondering if you could help solve this problem?

Several things could be the cause of the No sound problem. 1-defective audio amp/s 2-defective solder connections on the pins of the amp/s 3-amp in a muted condition. To quickly find out if the audio amp/s are defective you will need a volt meter and simply measure the voltage on each speaker wire. Each wire should have about 6 volts DC on them.
