Audio Systems: Amplifier fading, audio outputs, fades

My 400W amp has suddenly started to fail. Upon starting, the amp works but fades gently away to zero in about 4 seconds. Can this be time to bury the 6 year old?

The problem may with the audio outputs inside the amp. To repair something like this you may pay any where from $75 on up. With this you will need to compare how much you purchased the amp for originally.
