Audio Systems: cavalier install, 2003 chevrolet cavalier, chevrolet cavalier

I want to take out the factory stereo in my 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier Z-type. I was wondering how am I supposed the get the cover off the stereo. I tried but I could only get 2 of the clips off so I couldn't get my stereo out. Do I have to take the top of the dash out or something? Where are the bolts located?

 ok if you are going to replace the stock unit with an aftermarket you will need a dash install kit *which has full instructions on the removal and install* and a wire harness adapter* special one is needed for factory amplified sytems on Z24 models*.. ok back to business caviliers are a very DEEP install/removal .. you do have to remove pretty much your entire dash, you will also want to remove your *air bag* fuses from your fuse block while you are removing the pieces.. now i have the information up to 2002 models *which 03 they changed body styles* if you arent going to install an aftermarket unit here is an 800 number you can call its for scosche the makers of the dash install kits , give them a ring tell them you lost your install guide for your dash kit and they will give you the instructions 1800-621-3695 ext3... if you want the directions for 02 models drop me another email i'm not sure how much the dashs have changed i havent install on a new cavilier yet .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
