Audio Systems: my standard car radio is drifting..., chevy tracker, radio shack

my standard car radio is drifting between stations. i have a 2001 chevy tracker. no repairs have ever been done on the radio. please help!!!!

 if you have something like this going wrong more than likly you will have to replace the unit, most common is a short/loose connection on the inside of the unit that controls the tuner.. now if the unit is a cd player/tape player along with the radio and they both work i would hold off on buying a new one to install until something more serious goes wrong.. but if you do swap the unit out its very simple you can do it yourself in about an hour for a begginer.. stop by radio shack and buy a dash install kit 10-15 bucks and a wire harness adapter 8-12 bucks .. then buy your cd player/ tape player ect.. follow directions and the manuals will tell you everything you need to do .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
