Audio Systems: Factory Stereo, factory stereo, model range

I've got a question regarding a factory stereo I pulled out of my Mazda and was wondering if it could go in any other other car? Would it need special connectors or would this type of piece only work on the make and model it was in? Thanks.

 no the unit should work within the year model range for mazda.. i would give mazda's customer assistance number a ring and ask them what other cars are compatable with that unit .. they should be glad to help you out .. hope this helps out if you need anything else let me know
