Audio Systems: Factory Stereo, internet connectors, factory stereo

Question
I've got a question regarding a factory stereo I pulled out of my Mazda and was wondering if it could go in any other other car? Would it need special connectors or would this type of piece only work on the make and model it was in? Thanks.

Answer
Marcos,
Most stereos will work in just about any vehicle. You can find on the internet connectors that will plug into the jack on the stereo for power and speakers. You can also find the same type vehicle that the radio was removed from and clip out the wire harness that plugs into the rear of the stereo. All you do now is to purchase an adapter connector that plugs onto the factory connector in the dash of the vehicle that you want to install the stereo into. You will need to connect the speaker and power wires as per the instructions with the adapter harness. Lastly, you will need a plastic dash kit for the vehicle that you are installing the mazda stereo into and cut the plastic adapter to fit the stereo.
