Audio Systems: car radio, ford escape, car radio

Question
I have a 2000 Ford Escape and just today I encountered a problem with the radio, which has never been a problem before - when I parked the car and turned off the ignition and took the keys out of the ignition, the radio/cd player stayed on - I'm not sure how to stop it - what is causing this, will it drain my battery and how can it be fixed?

Answer
Sarah,
If the stereo is on it will drain the battery in a short time. The possible cause of the radio staying on may be due to a shorted power control circuit. The stereo will have to be removed from your vehicle and sent out for repair. Please contact me direct for more details.
