Audio Systems: no sound, lincoln markviii, wire colors

i own a 1993 lincoln markVIII and decided to remove the factory radio and install a new one. the problem is that when i put the new radio in, i stopped getting sound from my speakers. im getting power to the unit, but no sound. i also plan to install an amp and two subwoofers. should i bypass the factory amp and run everything into the amp i just purchased?

ok you kind of answered your own question .. remove the factory amp and since you are going to use the new amplifier for your subwoofers i wouldnt use the same amp to push your speakers instead re-run the speaker wires directly from the speakers to your new head unit *by passing the amp connections* this will get your sound back .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
