Chevrolet Repair: Fuel system, fuel pressure regulator, flood problem

Hi, I have a '96 C-1500 with a 5.0 Vortec V-8 automatic.  I drove it one day turned it off and came back about 4 days later and it would not start.  There is a lot of raw fuel on the plugs.  I changed the coil and plugs.  After the change, no start (you can smell fuel out the tail pipes).  There is spark present.  Could it be the fuel pressure regulator?  If so where is it and how do I test it or replace it?  Also when it was running it would cut out at about 60-65 mph.  Thanks.

Hi JJ.... try holding pedal to the floor when cranking,that should shut down the inj. if not try unpluging them and start the truck to clear the flood cond. fuel pressure regulator will not cause flood problem, that is an inj driver problem. could be in the ecm or crank/ cam sensor. if ecm and sensors are ok...after you clear flood problem try a good inj cleaner, clean idle air control as well with good air intake cleaner. hook up scan tool and see if you have any codes that could help you narrow down the problem...hope this helps...merry christmas
