Audio Systems: Ford Deck Installation, radio shack, deck installation

I bought a Pioneer deck a few years ago, and got the Harness and installed it into my 1990 Ford f150. A few years later i got rid of the truck and picked up an 88 Tempo, and threw the Deck in there with no complications.

A few days ago i got a 93 Merc Topaz and took put the Deck in again, except theres no power going to the radio. Checked the Fuses and theres no problems, and everything fits properly.

Any idea where the problem would be? Wrong wiring Harness(everything fits perfectly), I also tried another old stereo and found it didn't work either. There was some problems getting the factory one out and its broken so i can't tell if it would work.

 now if you are using the same harness as you did for the previous models i would swing by radio shack and look at the EXACT harness for 93 topaz .. see if there is any differnces in the wire placement .. the saleperson should let you compare before you buy .. this is where i figure you will find your problem .. unless its a problem within the stereo itself .. but you can test that by running a seperate wire from your battery to the head unit to see if it will fire up .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
