Audio Systems: 04 Liberty Radio removal, haynes repair manual, liberty radio

Question
I would like to remove the factory unit.  I can only get the top part of the trim panel off.  I don't want to pull to hard and break the panel.  Is there a trick to removing the trim ring?

Answer
Wane,

ok if you are planning on removing the unit to reinstall an aftermarket one you have a few options .. one is buy a dash install kit which you will have to have for the new unit the kit will have a booklet with full instructions on the removal of the pieces so you dont have any problems .. the dash kit is 10-15 bucks along with a wire harness adapter which is 8-12 bucks you will also need the harness for the install of a new unit .. now if your not putitng in a new unit , or even if you are one of the best things is a haynes repair manual .. but since your car is Very new even the liberty model is very new you might have trouble finding one but check your local auto parts store to see if they can order you one it will be worth the time they cost from 12-15 bucks and you will use it alot if you plan on turning your own wrenches for upgrades and repairs .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
