Audio Systems: 1998 Ford Escort 6 Disc Changer, alipne, ford models

I recently bought a 1998 Ford Escort with a 6 Disc Changer in the back (Model F8CF-19A028AC.) It is missing the magazine. Looking to buy one inexpensivly on Ebay - but the model numbers don't match up. Are other Ford models compatable? What should I look for?

  no clue .. if its a factory option which i doubt for an escort but it could have been in an option package call ford .. they have a customer help line *800* number in the back of your owners manual and ask them about it have your numbers ready .. look at the unit and see if it has any brands ( this is if its not a factory unit ) for sony, alipne, pioneer, ect.. look at their website site or give them a call .. they are the only people who can give you these specifics based on your numbers .. sorry i cant help you out anymore but if you need anything else let me know
