Audio Systems: cd jbl toyota avalon ; stuck; replaced battery, toyota avalon xls, 2000 toyota avalon xls

maybe related/maybe not. had new bat. put in 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS. JBL unit; cd changer. After new battery, CD player would not eject, load or play. Then we tried to load and it took 2 more (however I swear it was full to begin with?). Same msgs: "NO DISC", then it goes off. There is a black lighted horizontal line across 'window' which suggests it is 'working' but it won't eject, load, play or work. How to fix? How to retrieve either 5-8 CDs therein? In Marin/SF ca area

Hello FE,
It's possible that two CDs were loaded at the same time when you replaced the battery? and this is jamming up the unit. You can try removing the cover of the unit and look to see if CDs are jammed into the player. You may also want to look for a reset button somewhere on the unit.
