Audio Systems: Car sound system problem, car sound system, bose system

Question
There is no sound coming out of my speakers-original system. the 15amp fuse keeps burning out. The digital panel is intermittent as well as the clock display. I called Bose they said I would need to send total unit out and said the maxima units are specially ordered so I would need to send it to an outside contractor. How do I remove unit. I'm told there must be a short in the radio. Do you agree, if so
where should I send it to.
Please advise.

Hello Mark,
I repair many of these Bose system stereos, Please contact me direct for more info about how to have your radio repaired. as for removing the stereo, you will need to remove the trim around the stereo and then remove the screws that hold the stereo into the dash. After you pull the stereo out all you do now is to unplug the connectors.
