Audio Systems: GM Bose & aftermarket Sub install, gm bose, bose system

Question
I have a 2004 Silverado 3500 HD w/the bose system.  It sounds good but I want more bass.  I've add an amplifier and sub, and have a hi to lo level converter but haven't been able to figure out which wires to use.  I think the harness under the center console is the one i'm supposed to use but not sure...  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Answer
Hello Chris,
Most likely if you have a Bose system you will have small amplifiers located at each speaker. The output of the factory stereo will be low level. If you have a two channel amp this will work better. you will need to tie into the left and right output lines of the factory stereo and send each channel to the amp. next simply bridge the amp outputs to the sub woofer. I don't have a wiring book for this model and year, you may want to ask your dealer for a copy of the output wiring for the stereo.
