Audio Systems: Some radio button lights are out, delco radio repair, upper lefthand corner

Question
I own a 97 Chevy K1500 pickup.  The radio/cassette player is a Delco Electronics Model No. 09354155.  A picture can be seen at www.delco-radio-repair.com/Catalog-09354155.htm

My problem is that most of the buttons no longer light up.  They failed over time - not all at once.  The only items that still light up, other than the panel that shows the time/station on the righthand side, are the Recall, Eject, Pwr, and Vol in the upper lefthand corner.

This makes it challenging to use at night.  I know the button locations by heart, but I plan to give the truck to my son, and I am concerned that searching for buttons at night may distract his eyes from the road.

Can I replace bulbs or LCD's to get all the buttons illuminated again?  Can the buttons come out?

Thank you very much.

Answer
Hello Al,
To replace the lamps you will need to remove the front panel to get to the circuit board. You should be able to find the lamps at Radio Shack. These lamps are soldered to the circuit board.
