Audio Systems: Car Amp Blown.., output transistors, car amp

Question
I bought an amazing amp. Just after warranty it blew. I dont have the money to buy one and i thought it would be fun to fix it.
Problem; Install amp right. Tried 3 car just in case. All wiring was perfect.
-Turn key on blow's the fuse right away. Doesnt even give a chance to fire up.
What i think happened; My old car i didnt know had a leak in the trunk. I think a very small amount of watter got on top of the amp.
What happened?; Turned it on worked then it crackled alot. Pulled over then fuse blew. I put my spare in. Blew to!

Please help me that would be really great.

Answer
Hello Chris,
Most likely some of the power output transistors are shorted out. It is also possible that some of the power supply driver transistors could be shorted also. If you or someone you know has a VOM then you can test for shorted transistors. Please give me the complete model number off the sticker on the amp.
