Audio Systems: cigar lighter wiring, 2003subaru legacy, cell phone charger, battery down

father has above model, want to wire cigar lighter on allways, for cell phone charger. now, when key off, lighter dead. tried 'jumping a couple fuses, but rapidly ran battery down, requiring jump to get started.   Many Thanks

  there is noway that i know of to bypass the cigg light .. it should function with the charger plugged in even after the key is off .. but if you must i would use the 2 wires from the back of the lighter one is ground and one is power use a test light to figure out .. run the wires independatly from the battery for power and to the body for ground and between the power wire use a toggle switch so you can turn it on and off as you need ... hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
