Land Rover Repair: ECU and BCU, key fobs, discovery 2

Hullo their, i have a discovery 2 td5 and recently my ECU and BCU failed am looking forward to buying a used one but what are the odds that it wont fail me and with a replacement of a BCU do i have to change the key too?

Answer
The ECU and BDC are synced to each other and the key fobs, so you would need a matched set of those from another car.  In my experience in America its more sensible to buy and code a new BCU.  FWIW I have never seen a BCU and  ECU fail together unless they were submerged in water by a flood.
