Audio Systems: Amplifier, car stereo store, rca output

Question
Hello,
I have just bought myself a 4 channel 1200w amp and i want it to run 2 rockford fosgate 12" subs. I have decided to bridge the amp to get 600w to both subs. The problem iam having is that i have a deck that has only 1 RCA output (left & right) where as my amp has 2 inputs, rear and front (both with left and right). I was just wondering if it is possible to link 2 wires into the one RCA output on my deck. ie. have 1 wire each coming out of the left and right output on the deck but then each branching into two wires. to go into the amp . Will this be possible or will i do damage to the amp or deck?

Answer
Hello Chris,
You will need a high(speaker level)to low (RCA)adapter. This adapter will allow you to safely connect the speaker outputs to give you RCA outputs to connect to your amp/s. If you connect the speaker wires any other way will will burn up the amps in the radio. Any good car stereo store should have these adapters, you may also find them at Circuit City or Best Buy. as for your stereo, the single RCA output is for connecting to a sub woofer amp.
