Audio Systems: Speaker Fit Question, honda prelude, kenwood speakers

Question
I have a pair of 5 1/2" Kenwood speakers that I want to put in the front of my car. Here are the specs for the front of my car that I got from goodguys.com:  Speaker Opening Size:  4"
Speaker Depth:  1 7/8"
Speaker Bracket Needed: FACTORY GRILL. I have a 1987 Honda Prelude. Do u think this install is possible? Thanks for the help.

  that is an ince and half increase with atleast another 1/4 inch for the mounting flange and screws .. i'm not familer with the panel cover but i'm almost sure the hole can be enlarged with no problem its how the OEM speaker cover will fit back .. now if your speakers came with a cover you can trim the OEM panel to fit then use the aftermarket cover to go back over .. but on the aspect of mounting the 5.5 speakers in a 4" hole that should be able to happen with the proper tools .. i hope i got your question but if you need anything else let me know
