Audio Systems: instalation problems, haynes repair manual, sony cdx

I recently bought a 1995 Satern LS. The radio didnt work so my brother gave me a 45wx4, Sony,CDX-L300
CD-R/rw (not sure what numbers tou need).I cut the wires at the factory radio, and tryed to wire that connector to the plug on the Sony. I have two extra wires on the on that plugs into the car. No power to the Sony. And antena plug on car is too small for Sony. The Sony worked when I got it. I As you can see I dont have a clue about this Please help(Im tired of singing to myself).

  ok you have made the first mistake by cutting the factory wires off .. if you can try to wire the stock plug back on and go to radio shack and buy a wire harness adapter kit about 10 bucks this will match color for color with the sony and then plug into the stock plug so you have no guess work with the wires ... now if you cant wire the plug back on and in most cases you cant but please try .. you will need to buy a haynes repair manual for the saturn .. you can find one at your local auto parts store or you can check at your local liabary this will have a wire schematic for your stereo that will tell you what the wires are so you can wire it back up .. hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
