Audio Systems: car stereo, rca cables, kicker comps

Dear Tom,

  I recently purchased two 10" kicker comps and a Legacy 300w 4ch amp I hooked everything up correctly (have power to everything; both speakers, and amp) the remote wire is also ready to go but my subs still do not hit. Is this because my amp can't push them, or do you know of any other problem this could be from?

Double check all the cabling and the power feeds. When you mentioned that the remote wire is ready, does it go to 12 volts when the radio is on? If you are using the RCA cables to your amp, to test for sound from the radio you can use a small set of head phones with an adapter to plug into the RCA cables that go into the amp to listen for sound from the radio. Question, do you have any speakers working from the output of the amp?
