Audio Systems: 1996 chevy blazer radio wiring, haynes repair manual, chevy blazer

i have taken out the factory cd player in my 1996 chevy blazer. i am hooking up my own cd player and can not find out what the wires are for. i have located the speaker wires but can not figure out what the orange , brown, black with a white stripe, yellow and light tan is for. i was wondering if you new the proper wiring way for this vehicle

  ok it sounds like you have made the first huge mistake which is cutting the factory plug off .. if you did try to wire it back on color for color and go to radio shack or even wal-mart and buy a wire harness adapter its abotu 10 bucks and it will match up color for color to your new cd player then simply plug into the factory plug so you dont have to guess at the wires ! much easier and it keeps things neat and pro looking .. now if you cant wire it back on .. and i'm sure you cant because the wires are pretty tight i own a 2001 S10 xtreme and a 98 blazer so i'm avide at the installs i have a wire schematic str8 from a haynes repair manual that should get you through this problem its www.geocities.com/evilparadise02/stereo.html
