Audio Systems: need help with jvc lack of sound, small electronics, electronics repair

hey,
    I recently got two stereos that seem to have the same problem. Both were hooked up to amps and when they were removed from the amps they had no sound from any of the channels. I have had both of them completely taken apart and I did not find anything wrong, but I'm no expert. I have heard that this happens quite often to people that use amps. If you know what is wrong could you please send me some details on how to fix them. I am much obliged and will stop taking up your time.

   i can understand why you are baffled , i havent heard of the relation of amps to sound output damage before , i do know that jensen is bad for having preouts to burn out so bad that i purchased 3 before i got one that wasnt DOA, but i dont do internal repairs you probly know more than i do about the inside of a unit , i'm install & troubleshooting you might try a couple of other techs maybe even in television and small electronics repair that could have a better insight than i could ...sorry i cant help you out anymore
