Audi Repair: Engine heat coming through vents, vacuum leak, vacuum hose

I own a 1996 Audi A4, when i drive the car heats up quickly and i belive it could be the engine heat coming out of the vents. it usualy comes from the the front section where your feet rest and the console in the middle (next to your feet) gets warm too. Hot air like i have the heater will come from some of the front vent, it has been goin on for about a month now and i did get something fixed iside the engine about a month ago. Any ideas? Thanks alot =).

Sounds like the heater flap valving is not working properly.  These are operated through vacuum, so it could simply be a vacuum leak.  Ask the person that did the repair if there is a possibility that a vacuum hose became disconnected.  Let me know,  Jan
