QUESTION: I can't open my trunk.The key will not open the lock it looks like the lock has been pushed in to far. I want to replace the lock with a new one but need to get the trunk open is there another way to open it?

ANSWER: Normally if there is a problem with a cabrio lock, it is because the top is not sending the OK to open signal.  Try putting the top up completely or down completely and see if the lock releases.  Otherwise it's tough to get in there.  Let me know,  Jan

QUESTION: I tried it both ways but with no luck.  I think the lock is broken and i bought a replacement but can't replace it without getting in the trunk.

Is the lock itself stuck or is the button stuck?  It may be worth spraying some WD40 into the lock to try and free it up.  It is not easy to get into the trunk any other way, so somehow you have to get the lock to engage.  Let me know how you get on,  Jan
