Audi Repair: 19997 Audi A6 Leaks, cylinder head gaskets, power steering leaks

Question
My son's 1997 Audi A6 Quattro has several leaks, especially coolant and power steering leaks. It looks like the power steering is leaking from the hose connection on the reservoir. However, I am afraid that the coolant loss is due to a small crack in the block since I do not see any signs of leakage on the driveway. How do I drain the coolant and replace with fresh coolant and possibly a block and radiator sealant? I do not see a drain valve anywhere for this. Thank you in advance for your answer.

Answer
Hi,  I am not in favor of these products as it tends to block the heater matrix.  Usually a coolant loss is due to a headgasket issue, not a cracked block.  Best way to drain the coolant should you wish to do so, is to undo the lower radiator hose.  It sounds to me that this is an idela time to do an overhaul of the engine, timing belt, cylinder head gaskets, great father-son bonding opprtunity...  And a lot of work, but on the other hand it would be a tough dealer-repair bill.
