Audi Repair: 99 A4 2.8, low oil pressure, pressure sensor

Actually, 2 questions.
1) Intermittent low oil pressure light comes on. Stays on maybe 2-3 minutes. No change in performance. Did they have any issues with oil pressure sensor?
2) the dash display fades out when hot, to the point of being unreadable. Any cure other than replacement?

Answer
Could well be the oil pressure sensor.  Does the light go out when you rev the engine up?  Does changing the oil and filter help the problem?  With reference to the dash display, I'm sorry but replacement is the only solution that I know of.  They are about $300 plus install costs, or you can keep a look on ebay.  Let me know,  Jan
