Audi Repair: 1997 Audi A4 1.8 Turbo, heater control valve, bank1

Question
I have a couple of problems with this car.  I just bought it, and on the way home the ICM went on it.  Fixed that, now I notice that I have no heat coming from the vents.  Car is not overheating, coolant ok and checked fuses.  Any idea on what that could be?
Also I'm getting 2 OBD codes
PO134 - O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 No Activity Detected
PO441 - EVAP Emission Contr.Sys.Incorrect Purge Flow
Any thoughts?

Answer
Check the heater control valve, and check that the two hoses going through the firewall are both hot when the engine is hot.  Does the engine warm up OK?  Sometimes the thermostat fails which stops the engine from warming up properly.  The heater matrix has small orifices in it, sometimes a coolant flush will get the system running properly again.  From the codes it looks like you need to replace one O2 sensor, and clean out the evap unit to increase flow through the small orifices.  Let me know what you find,  Jan
