Audi Repair: 2000 A6 driver door shows open on DIC, door hinges, dome light

Trying to determine where exactly on my 00 A6 the driver door dome light switch is!  DIC shows door always open and dome lights stay on.  More a nuisance than anything but would love to take care of it.  Thank you in advance for your help

I think the switch is in the door lock, this sometimes goes bad but normally the problem is in the wiring at the door hinges.  Wiggle the wires there first and see if the problem goes away or changes.   If not, the lock is the next test.  Let me know,  Jan
