Audi Repair: VW Passet 130 bhp tdi, wd 40, vw diesels

Hi I know I am on an Audi forum but there is no VW experts so seen that Audi and VW diesels are much the same and there is a lot of good advice on here.
My problem is lods of smoke no power and then into limp home mode .A friend plugged in a vag com and got EGR faults striped it and operates perfect and seals ok so we blanked it off to see if any different and still the same ,Pressure sensor and temp on inlet test ok so does the MAF.
Boost pressure was a bit mad so striped the turbo and cleaned the vanes they were a little stiff so seemed hope full after a good soak in WD 40 was perfect , Still the same ,I am thinking of changing the MAF as my friend said they can test ok but do mat things can any one help Thanks in advance Anto.

I don't think overhauling a turbo with WD40 will do the trick, but if it spins freely without play maybe it worked out.  I think you have clogged injectors, could also be the MAF (easier to change) but I would go after the injectors next.  Also do a leakdown or compression test; leakdown is better.  Let me know,  Jan
