QuestionI was driving and then all of the sudden it shut off and will not restart. There is/was NO check engine light on, and all the gauges work fine. The temperature never raised in the slightest, it just shut off. It turns over, but it will not start, sounds like it is going to, but it doesn't.
AnswerWell it needs compression, fuel and ignition to start. Ignition is easy to check, just disconnect a plug wire, put a spark plug in it and turn the engine over. If it sparks, then ignition is OK. Next thing is fuel, suspect fuel pump relay, fuses, etc. Establish which of the three is missing and let me know, Jan
