have 1999 aydi a6 that has been sitting for a year. replaced battery, car strted fine ran for approx. 10 mins. then stalled. restarted stalled again this keeps going on and on and won't run

Sounds like perhaps the gas has gone bad?  If the gas is over a year old, I would put some fresh premium gas in the car, and see if it clears the problem.  It maybe worth running some injector cleaner through the system too. If that doesn't take care of it I would see if there are codes in the computer, normally you can get these read out by your local import garage or autozone.  Let me know what the codes (if any) are,  Jan
