Audi Repair: desperate, car beeps, heat shields

I know this is an Audi question space but My question is about a VW 98' Jetta. There are no experts under the category so I'm choosing the closest relative vehicle. My car beeps when I turn left. I don't know what it is and I've lost my manual... I'm also hearing a rattle in the undercarriage; at least I think that's where it comes from. But it sounds like something's blowing around in a can.  I'm worried the engine and computer system was just replaced last year. And how can I locate the fuse box?

It beeps?  Is it a similar beep to any other system warnings?  With rattles these are difficult to diagnose, normally heat shields drop onto exhaust pipes and rattle, because the mounting washers corrode or the heat shields themselves corrode.  Difficult to diagnose across a computer terminal.  Get the DTC codes read out and see if there is a fault which explains the beeping.  Sorry I cannot be of more help,  Jan
