Audi Repair: audi tt turn signal, audi tt quattro, flasher relay

i own a 2001 audi tt quattro, whenever i use my turn signals now they have an irregular blink to them and decide to blink whenever they want, fast or slow it always changes. What is the problem with this and what is a rough estimate on what i dealership will charge to get it fixed?Thanks Kyle

Sounds like the flasher unit is malfunctioning, the flasher unit is either under the dash or behind the hazard warning light switch.  Listen for the clicking when it is active...  Is the behaviour the same when the hazard light switch is pushed in?   If so it is likely the flasher relay itself.  Part is not that expensive, 95% of this job is getting to the flasher relay.  Dealer probably charges you 1hr labor.  let me know,  Jan
