Audi Repair: Audi 1997 A8, fuel inj, rubber gasket

Question
QUESTION: Location of ECM power relay?

ANSWER: On a US model, it is under a cover just ahead of the windshield on the passenger side. The cover is held down by several screws and has a rubber gasket, all of which must be reinstalled carefully to keep the electronics dry.  This is the ECM, which is not really a power relay...  let me know how you get on,  Jan

QUESTION: what I NEED TO KNOWN IS WHAT RELAY GOES IN THE FUSE BOX NEXT TO ECM THERE IS 4 OR  5 FUSES ONE OF THEM POWERS FUEL INJ.AND THIS ONE RELAY  WHICH IS NOT IN MY CAR BUT SOMEONE BY PASSED

Answer
Is there a number on the relay position?  In this case it may be easiest to take a picture of the relay and ask on one of the forums (audiworld or audifans) if someone can tell you what the relay is for.  Without seeing it this is difficult to diagnose.  Let me know if you can find a number, or is this the only relay in this fuse box?  Let me know,  Jan
