Audi Repair: Audi A4 doors not closing, many winters, audi a4

Question
Hello, I have a 96 Audi A4 2.8 FWD. FOr the past few days, the driver door will not close at all in the morning. I have to wait for 20 minutes or so trying till it closes. THe hinge or latch looks ok and moves fine. Even with WD40 sprayed, it does not help. Weather has been in the 20's but the car has seen many winters and this never happened. TOday i tried other doors and same thing happens. Now all my doors dont close, they just bounce back, except for the trunk that closes. It doesnt seem like a mechanical problem. Could you please help me out?

Answer
Hi,  This is a mechanical problem, the latch mechanism just isn't quick enough and this may well be associated with the cold weather.  The mechanism will need to be lubricated inside the door; this is a job maybe best done by a specialist.  I do not think you can get to it from the outside.  I have had this problem myself and it is frustrating.  Let me know,  Jan
