Audi Repair: airconditioning problem Audi A4 1.8t, hottt, engine temperature

Hi!!!
I have a 98 Audi A4 1.8t quattro and bought it about a year ago! I have 2 problems with the air conditioning system!!First, when I turn the air conditioning on after few minutes the engine temperature starts going up ( goes up faster when the weather outside is real hottt!!!!)! When I turn it off in few minutes the temp goes back to normal(it stays right in the middle)!!
 Now what happened today is when I was driving the vents started working by itself!!!I do not know what is going on..I can not turn it off!!!It is just working!!!
       I do not know if the first problem could be related  with the second one...just if you have any idea what could be the problem give me a clue!!!!

When A/C is ON the condenser fan has to come ON. You have to fans on radiator. One driven by the belt and second electrical. The electrical one is for A/c , this fan has to come on with A/c , if it's OFF, engine may overheat.
With automatic A/c systems the best way is to check for any faults in the system. VAG may give all you need to fix all the problems or will give you fault numbers and than is much easier to fix .
