Audi Repair: door sensor, plastic button, latch

Question
No, there is no black plastic cover below the lock latch, theres the lock itself on the door which is black, and then on the body its a silver latch, do you think its the lock itself?  If so do i have to take off the door panel to remove?

On the body, near the silver latch, should be a black plastic button...  If it is not there, maybe your car has it inside the door, then the sensor is part of the door lock mechanism, and yes you have to take off the door panel to get to it.  Let me know,  Jan
