Audi Repair: Door malfunction, interior dome, seat frame

Question
Greg, (my 2000 audi a6 2.7L quattro), says that 3 doors are open, it used to be just one, then my bro took out a light bulb from the rear door now it says 3 of the doors are open and now the windows dont open and interior dome lights do not turn on.

Answer
hello
If the dome light is not working you have bad fuse. I do not remember which on , but it's going to be on l/side.
The the problem is -- short inside one of front seat.
the wires which goes to the rear foot lights ( inside the seats) are getting shorted to the seat frame. What  I do is , replace fuse and drive, if the fuse blows when no one is inside (except you , in driver seat ) you will know the short is inside driver seat. Most of the time is inside driver sear. You can take the seat out , remove the back cover and check wire from light to connector under the seat , Or (what I did to few cars) just disconnect connector under the seat , the one which gives power to the light .
Most of them you can find , but the seat need to be removed. Only one or two that we had, was hard to find and we just left the lights out and it was fixed.
let me know, if you need more info
Good luck                    Greg
