Audi Repair: 99 Audi A4 squeaking?, audi a4 quatro, brake noise

Hi,
I recently bought a 99 Audi A4 Quatro and it just started making this squeaking sound while running. It happends ramdonly some times when going slow and then other times it will start when going about 40 mphish. Its very quite I have to listen pretty good to hear it but it sounds like a mouse squeak about every 2 sec and then quits when the car shuts off or just ramdomly stops on its own.. Any suggestions as to what this could be??

Squeeks can drive you nuts.  Could be a belt, could be brake noise, could be transmission or even suspension.  Try and correlate it with one of those, and see if you can isolate it.  Do not lubricate brakes or engine belts!  Let me know what you find,  Jan
