Audi Repair: Axle (front Drivers side), safest cars, abs light

Question
Hi

I had asked you this question before you said you couldn't answer it  but they had to replace the front drivers side axle.  It was replaced in Long Island because they said it was bad.  When I came home we heard the clicking noise again and they said it wasn't done properly.  SO he replaced it again.  Now again my husband brought the car in for inspection and he said it was not good again.  THe first person said that there is a defect in the way the axle fits or something. I then had to replace the secondary water pump and now the ABS light is on.  The car looks great. Everyone thinks it is a new car. It seems that  everytime they fix one thing something else goes wrong.  I know  that mechanics don't like the Audi very much.  If so many people have the same problem why don't they recall it.

Answer
hello
from what you wrote I Know that you did not go to the dealer to repair your car. Any dealer in US ( I live in NJ)
will warranty the work for 1 year, so if that axle will go bad they will fix it for free. That's how we do at the dealer.
secondary water pump- looks like 2.7T engine. I have 02 A6 with only 42K and I already replace it. You have Turbo engine , this pumps runs every time you stop the engine to cool off the turbos. It may leak after some time. And I know it's not a easy job, so it may cost more.
ABS
If you have ABS and brake light ON - your module is bad
if only ABS is ON - there is some other problem (like sensor). Some one has to scan it for faults.

recall??
Audi has 4 year or 50K warranty . No other high line car manufacture has better warranty. I'm a mechanic/technician and I love Audis, I know they not cheap but one of the  best and safest cars.
My zip is 07407, if it's not far - we can meet and I will try to help you out.
good luck                      Greg
